Shari, I love you TM bag already! Lovely patches you collected!

I spent my evening cutting all the pattern pieces, pfew... It sure has a LOT of pieces! And I dislike (that is a friendly way of expressing my feelings  Wink ) this part: all that measuring, laying out the fabric, cutting,... but now I only need to cut the interfacing and iron that on about all the pieces I cut out. Mmmh, I believe I ran put of fusible interfacing, so that will have to wait.

See?!?! Lots and lots of pieces! I like the purple fabric very much! It was a gift, bought in Indonesia, especially for me! I will use some orange-ish for the lining and plain white for the dividers.

Thanks "WendieK" & "JessKelly" for your nice comments!

Wendie I love your beautiful fabric & being a gift that's even better. Can't wait to see it all done. I feel the same way you do Wendie. I dislike the measuring & cutting out, but on the other hand I do like making my own patterns, I seem to enjoy it! I think I'm afraid I'm going to cut the wrong part & then not have enough fabric left to cut another one. Oh well I still love sewing anyway!!! Grin

It seems like everytime I use interfacing (iron-on) on pieces bigger than a collar it gets all bubbly after washing it. I mean there is like little bubbles of air where the interfacing lost contact to the fabric. I used different brand and not the cheap stuff but it doesn't help.
Anybody an idea how to fix that?

Why do you need to wash it?  Is it just the shrinkage issue with the fabric?  Is the fabric prewashed?

And have you checked the manufacturer's website for any info?

That happens to me too sometimes. I just iron it as hot as the fabric allows me to!
The bubbles is were the interfacing got loose, I just iron it back on. I usually iron it on quite hot, sometimes even directly on the interfacing. When you iron the intefacing, you need to lower the heat a bit. Then I iron it on starting in the middle and towards the sides.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for your nice comments on the fabric! I really love it!
Shari, glad you feel the same way about the measuring and the cutting part!

And Shari and kaz, isn't it fun to check out what the others made, posted and what they have pinned? So addicting, right?!

So addicting, wendiek!

I have some school work to do today, but then I'm going to get into cutting my fabric - also my least favorite part of bag making.  Wish me luck!
