I am joining you gals.  I am going to make the Amy Butler Blossom bag.  Today I have started cutting out pieces, it feels like it is going to take a long time to measure and interface it all.

I'm going to start with a clutch.. there is a sew along on a blog for an envelope clutch.  I read throught the tutorial here and it seems like a quick project.. http://seekatesew.blogspot.com/2013/02/envelope-clutch-pattern.html

I taking part in a swap and this will be part of it.. Hoping to have it done by Monday..

I appreciate the kind comments and it's good to see so many people sewing purses; it will be very interesting watching them all take shape!

Progress on Everyday Clutch 1:

The next steps are to stitch magnets into the opening to keep it closed and stitch in the lining (pictured above the clutch). Then I had better start work on the tote. I'm very grateful for this craftalong, I may not have made time for this otherwise and it's a lot of fun!

Hax, that clutch is lovely!

Plaidpineapple, I want to make that bag in this craftalong too! It has been on my list since
I bought that Amy Butler book about a year ago!
You're further in the process, I haven't even decided what fabric I will use  Wink

And kaz814, I checked out a few of your projects and it's looking so good! Can't wait to see how your bag will turn out!  Cheesy  (I'm not stalking you, don't worry! I like going through projects fellow Craftsters make when I'm in a swap... Even when I'm not partnered with that Craftster, hahaha!)

Does a Teeshed Moore type bag count? I'm in the process still not done after about 2 yrs on it. Something always comes up.

Wendie that's a neat book! I like her patterns too!

Hi,

If there's room for another, I would definitely like to join!

I have 2 books on bag-making, far too much material and have just finished a small clutch bag,(pattern in a sewing magazine) which I'd like another go at as I'm not 100% happy with it.

I also think I have a bag clasp around somewhere ...

Will have to have a rummage, and I'll keep you posted.

Wendie thanks, your such a kick! I also like to check out fellow craftster's & see what they have made.

"JessKelly" it's looking pretty cool, can't wait to see what it will look like when done.

Well here are my pics of my TM bag. It started just to be a TCM bag but it wa taking me forever so I had several patches from swaps & personal swaps so I decided to use some of them & still use the ones I made for the TCM bag. I have one side sewn together & just pin the other side. It's going to have sides too. I want it a little bigger inside & have 2 patch pockets & the strap will be able to go over my head. The blue fabric I think will be my lining unless I change my mind.
Here's the pics.














Those last 4 are for pockets I think, so I have to make one to fit in the middle section then the ones that go all around the bag between the front & back.  Some of you might see your quilted patch pillow in there I can't remember who gave what but I sure do love them all.
