Purse Craftalong-2013

Are you considering making a purse?  Are you part way through and lost your oomph?  Have you chosen fabric, but can't decide on a pattern?  Have you never thought about making your own purses, but are intrigued by the idea?  Then this craftalong is for you!

There aren't any hard and fast rules for this craftalong, beyond the fact that you should make a purse and share in-progress pics with us along the way.  From Amy Butler patterns to the Buttercup bag to clutches, any type is allowed!  

Join anytime!  I'll keep a list of participants and status (in progress, finished, etc.) on this page!

I might just craft-a-long with you kaz814  I have a ton of pretty fabric that needs destashing and I get stuck in a rut with what to make. I think a purse would be a good idea....but which one is the question there are a lot of cute patterns out there.

Add me!! I've got a TON of purses I want to make. And a ton of fabric LOL (also bags... do bags count as purses?)

First: Name bag for quilt guild (been stalled for 3+ years). Instead of making a name BADGE, I'm turning it into a BAG... and it will be a mini travel quilting kit. With scissors, rulers, mini cutting mat, pens/pencils, needles, etc.

Second: Palestinian/Arabesque/Desert inspired Camel Purse. It's been stalled about that long too.

Third: My purple corduroy cat-themed messenger bag.

Fourth: A leather and fabric inspired purse from a pattern... I found a designer purse identical for $500. I can make mine for probably less than $20.

Fifth: Cover-swapping purse. I forget what they're called exactly, but the outside is changeable via loops and buttons.

Um... what the heck.

Sixth: A messenger bag for a craft swap. I'll probably do that soon. Unless I decide to do a morsbag instead.
