Oh, that's so sweet!

On topic: I spun 2 yards yesterday and apparently I can't type. The things I have been deleting just thus far in the message... Anyway, spun those twilight rain clouds and a thunderhead. These are great. I'm excited to show off. Too bad I have to wait for them to dry. Bah!

Here is how I spun up the Rain clouds I dyed:

And here is my THUNDERHEAD!

And I carded this up last year and thought it looked rather rainy so I spun it up and plied it with some Punta!

My Punta was a little loose but it still help together well. I still enjoy it.

I'll post another thread later with more pics of these and the other yarn I've spun so far since last Friday. Wow, I've really been going, eh? I should slow down or I won't have anything to spin while at the market!

I have an April showers yarn underway.  Won't finish till next week at the earliest, as I'm bringing my wheel in to some kindergarten classes next week and will just continue working on that yarn in process.

I've been thinking about May Flowers but haven't gotten anything going yet. We'll see if I get to it this month or if I just save all of my spinning energy for the Market.

Here's my April Showers yarn.  It's raining yet again here.  At least we haven't had to water the lawn this spring...

It's mohair and wool, dyed with Wilton's, plied with blue sewing thread that was threaded with irridescent sequin "raindrops."  The mohair is kind of making the thread ply float above it, which is really pretty.

So I'm clearly not spinning May Flowers (for May anyway) but maybe we don't necessarily have to spin the yarns in the month itself, but keep the inspiration for later if we don't get to it.  We should think of some more themes.  I was thinking "Here Comes The Bride" for June, since June weddings are so common.  Or maybe "Dog Days of Summer."  Or "A Day At The Beach."  Any one of those speak to you?

I tried to make something for May flowers with green and orange and yellow and blue but apparently the yarn didn't want to dye because it was something I didn't know what to do with (ie not wool) so it didn't work. So the blue and green got wasted! But I did make Punta and dye it up yellow and orange. That was nice.

No idea on a June, theme, but I'm thinking July should be "new" because. Wink

I'm cool with saving the inspiration for later.  It's what I'm hoping to have to do!  Bling bling for June? Although I kinda want to save that for a month I'll get to participate!
