I wound up finishing up a gift I was crocheting instead of finishing my yarn in time for Fiber Friday, but I am bound and determined to get it done this week!

I've ended up making 2 more ladybug yarn for the farmer's market this summer. I'll post them when they are done drying.

OOh, you want to keep the spin along thing going? I like this, it will give me homework or sorts. I need homework ie inspiration. Maybe a different kind of bug for April? Ooh, maybe we could go on to like "April Showers" or something? And then May could be flowers? Eh? eh?

So, we're on to April showers now, eh? We still posting here? I have some wool in the Crock Pot right now. I had it chained last night as I dyed it blue and purple (leftover Easter dyes ftw) and I was wondering how I would get some grey into it and then I realized I have black food coloring. Maybe that will work? I hope it doesn't just fracture and get it more blue and purple or whatever. It's in there now and I'm trying to distract myself so it can dye but typing about it isn't helping.  Eek.

Yeah, lets keep it here.  I'll modify the first post and the title.  Ongoing Spin Along.  And I'll put the themes into the first post!

Food coloring will fracture. black will either give you pink, or blue.  But if you search it, there was a discussion here about getting black from food coloring.  it was vague and there were no pictures, but there was an idea that depending when you put your vinegar in....

I figured. We'll see what I come out with. If it doesn't work for "showers" then I guess I'll save it for may flowers? Wink
