Another oboist problem:

A few weeks ago we had a reedmaking session and one guy asked whether someone had a drying stand for reeds. Which nobody had, because we all dried them by just putting them somewhere more or less secure. So I decided to build one for him!

I put coins in the bottom of the box to make it more steady. Then a piece of wood with holes where the matches go in. I cut of the matches heads for security :-). The red fabric is painted with a gold edding.

When you need to dry reeds, you put up as many matches as you need and after, just take them down again an put the box back into the toolbox. Yeah. Made one for myself, too. Maybe it'll make me dry them without them collecting reed shavings from the table or something else.
