Hey, So i have to make these pants and I'm driving myself crazy with the pattern - can anyone help me figure it out?? I just need to know how to alter the basic pant block - like drop the crotch, prepare the waist for an elastic one etc

I don't think you really have to do much... it's the fabric that's making them look interesting.
The actual pattern looks pretty simple. On your block, just draw the side lines on the pant legs straight down or slightly flared from the hip (instead of tapered towards the ankle). Ignore any underlap pieces for the fly and put in a zipper straight into the seam on the front. They seem to have creases ironed into the front like on men's dress pants.
That's pretty much all.

i completely agree with the pattern guidelines...I think the most important thing here is to find the right fabric that has the same "fall" that these do. and if you want to make sure the seam similar to ones on men's dress pants is fixed and permanent you can always sow it and make exposed stitch (appx. 0.3cm) but if you're not really good with straight stitches i'd avoid it
