We live in the Bay Area and are those annoying oldsters who say that when we went to Burning Man in the '90s it was [cooler, smaller, cheaper, whatever-er], while seekritly wishing we had the time and energy to do it again. The sentiment expressed is something of an inside joke with us (its meaning goes beyond what it seems to say on the surface :).

I used the stitchpoint.com text generator for the text, and designed the mini-man border myself.

This was my first cross-stitch project in a loooong time, and now I want something more ambitious, but can't decide how big and detailed I can go without losing interest before I finish. A favorite album cover or work of art, maybe...

This cracks me up! I had to sit through far too many Burning Man stories back when I lived on the coast.

Thank you for the stitchpoint.com info. You have inspired me to try cross stitch.

I bet your BFF loved it!  It looks fantastic- the little man boarder and your color choices are perfect.

The meaning is awesome too.  I don't get many burning man stories, but some smaller scale local stuff up here generates the same response from some folks!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

This is fantastic! I have a friend who's always wanted to go to Burning Man (we are from the UK)

You should go if you ever get the chance! There is some incredible art that happens out there, that just couldn't exist anywhere else. And also there are mobile all-night dance parties.
