posted carolmb's blocks. The lighting is a bit oddly dark, the camera gets confused by the really strong spring morning light in combination with my dark apartment... I tried taking a pic outside, but the contrast got ridiculously high Cheesy

"random" greens on tan background. Since I wanted to scrap within one color on each block, and the pattern is made for speed by cutting larger bits for each block, I simply chose four green fabrics and cut the six colored pieces from them, then mixed and matched. Unfortunately, my "random" is always quite accidentally organized, so most strips turned out quite similar which was a problem when mounting, but it's still fairly random Cheesy

Entropy is hard work!

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. It was great to be back home and eat cake. For once we have missed the family boat for Easter and as my husband does shift work, I have 4 days of sewing to myself and I'm very excited. I think two of my packages will go Saturday and two on Tues 2nd as I don't want to rush them all on Thurs/Friday.

My mum bought me some scrap fabric bundles for my birthday so it's great to have more selection to choose from. Homerof won't just get orange now Smiley

Sorry to be MIA fora week- my baby's first birthday was this past weekend, and it took so much more of my time than I thought it would! But I'm here now and getting my studio space ready for a stitch-a-thon!

I haven't been posting in the thread because I've been avoiding seeing any blocks made for me before I get them lol  I have been checking in with my group though.  I've sent out all my blocks and have had an awesome time with this swap so far!  I hope everyone else is having as much fun as I am Smiley

I need to get my butt in gear, I've still got 7 blocks to go.  The last 3 weeks have not been good for our family - our 30 yo nephew was killed in a work accident on March 7th and that was such a shock to our family and the first time any of us have lost a close relative.  The day before that, my mom was admitted to the hospital and is still there.  Shortly after my nephew's funeral I had to make a trip to see my mom as dad needed to go away for a few days and didn't want to leave mom alone.  I've had time between to sew but just not the desire but I know I need to get myself picked up and back at it.

Received Grin!! The blocks are perfect.  They are pretty on your board, but even better in real life!
