carolmb ~ I just posted the first block I made for you.  I wanted to see if that gray is too dark.  In the second picture I covered the corner with the gray that I will be using for your other 2 blocks, but I didn't have enough for a third block which is why I used the darker gray.  Anyway, let me know if you don't like it and I will make a new one.
Also, is the purple ok?
I am going to a quilt shop out of town tomorrow, so I can look for some other fabric if needed.
Thanks!

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

sloth, the blocks you made for me are fanTAStic, including the one that went wonky -- the offsetting is so symmetrical it actually looks like it could be intentional!  Is that the one you said was an 8-incher?  I can see why you loved it, and it definitely would be great "framed out" for a 12 inch block.

donniesgirl, wow, I love the two blocks you've made for me - exactly what I was hoping for.

Oh good - I've got one more coming in green. I love that cat block.

I've got two..soon to be three up.  Pardon my bad picture taking... It was casting shadows whenever I tried to take it straight on, so my pictures have some slightly off proportions...the centers really are normal squares!

I'm really digging the texture blocks.. I've gotta try some!  I like the square in diamond a lot as well... but overall, what amazing blocks folks have put together!  So impressed with how speedy you guys are!

I'll probably try the braid blocks next.. I'm stuck waiting on the 30s print for the pinwheel and I need to sit down and cut out some purples for the abstraction blocks.

The first two block styles I did were easy (and quick).  I'm doing a monkey wrench for Melladh right now & it isn't hard, but there is a lot of pressing and that slows me down (got to work it in with the toddler's naps etc).  I've got a bookcase block I'm hoping to finish tomorrow, too.  I thought it was done but it only measured 12" wide so I have to add another book.   Wink
