I feel for ya!  I have had a bone marrow transplant and am super careful about that kind of stuff.  I am amazed at how people think that not immunizing their kids only effects/affects them.  It puts me at a huge risk.  Take care !

We are having the worst week here- I don't want to get political or start a fight or anything, but if you don't believe in vaccines, please, PLEASE don't bring your kids around babies if you think they might be sick. My son got pertussis last week and it's been terrible. There hasn't been much sewing time around these parts, and I think I might pass out if I sit here any longer, so I'm off to bed.

I hope everyone has a healthy, happy week!

Pearliepie you have my total sympathy!!  When my oldest son was 7, even though he was immunized, he got pertussis and then 2 weeks later I got it too!  Not fun to have or to see your child go through.

Received my blocks from EllaRain, for which thanks.

Just one more block to go for me -- naturally I saved the most time-consuming one for last, but it should be done tomorrow and then all four sets will be on their way.

It's addictive, isn't it?  I love doing the quilt block swap...

Yes it is -- this was my first block swap and I'm definitely hooked!

I finished carolmb's shoo fly blocks tonight. The camera is in DH's truck and I'll have to go fish it out at a more reasonable hour. Wink

Hmm...I wonder what blocks to pick for another round...I want to do this heart one but I haven't seen the instructions online. I have the magazine but I'm guessing our mods would frown at me scanning them out for people to use...copyrights and all. Wink

Time to make an appointment at the quilt shop to rent the longarm machine...I have 3 quilts ready to put together including round 1 of this swap.

That's not an original pattern though, it's as free to use as any log cabin. A quick google turned up a sketch here

...and I'm pretty sure they have at least one over at quilter's cache if you just know what to look for.

To swedes, those are christmas hearts - you braid them out of pill-shaped ovals folded in half and cut up, and hang them as little heartshaped baskets in the christmas tree Smiley

This swap has been lots of fun Smiley  I think I want to join the next round and pick a specific block for it.  I found a turtle block pattern that is pretty awesome that I think would be fun...
