I am completely in love with peplums. Honestly - as a curvy girl they are a masterful at creating definition to your figure... as a Mom, they are a miracle post-baby-belly hider. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I don't love, however, how much it costs for a women's peplum top. Honestly! like $20 for a jersey peplum tee?! No thanks. Picked up a men's 2xl shirt from Walmart for $5 and a little sewing magic and voila!

I've also created a (probably sketchy) paint tutorial so you too can refashion a large tee to a cute peplum top!

Whew! That's a lot of pics!

C&C Welcome!

Turned out very nice. Thanks for the tutorial. The pintucks on the neckline are a great idea for when the neck is a little too large.

Pin-tucks are def. useful for fitting, although I purposefully cut the neckline large enough to allow for pin-tucks just because I lurve them. Wink
