I am in love with these mens over sized photo print shirts from wal mart so I had to get one and make a dress . I LOVE everything about it
All i really did was remove the long sleeves resize it to a loose t dress fit and added leopard to bind the arm holes

Thanks for looking and have a great day

This dress suits you very well.

Did you use a serger, a sewing machine or sew it by hand?

Thanks for the positive comments . I surged this dress and usually I would surge and sew with a regular machine But this 100 % polyester ( silky ) fabric didnt want to go near the sewing machine lol . The surger however did a great job on keeping the seems wobble free

Unique and fabulous! I can't say enough about how awesome this dress is, especially because of it's simple beginning as a men's shirt.

I found the owl and the tiger on sale at Wally's for 3 bux today. I do not have a serger, though. Did you just cut away the excess from the sides and taper it at the waist?

I checked and I'm a little upset that Walmart doesn't seem to carry this print anymore! I think it's more wearable than a bear in mirrored sunglasses on camo... but I might have to reconsider.

yep thats just what I did . My serger is down for repairs right now Sad so I used a simple wide zig zag stitch then went over that with a straight stitch to lock the seems good and tight . I often use zig zag in place of serging , and it works really good for creating a nice finished looking seam you just have to trim the extra material off by hand

Ugh, this dress is just perfection! I'm going to have to keep my eye out for massive shirts so I can make one just like yours! ^__^

My memory isn't as sharp as this sword. I don't remember if I posted my owl dress/tunic. A pal actually sewed it up for me before I got my serger.

She put stretch lace on as cuffs on the 3/4 sleeves and edged the neckline with it as well.

The sword is pretty dull, actually. Smiley
