Our new place came with a satellite for TV (there's no cable up here), but we don't watch enough TV to pay more than $100/month for it.  So, the unsightly cords hanging out of the wall are even more so because they serve no purpose.  And the likelihood that we're EVER going to have a TV in the music/guest room is so low, we just pushed it into the wall and set about covering it up.

Luckily, I had a blank plate in my stash of electrical box plates (yes, I have a stash of electrical box plates, c'mon!).  Annnnnnnd I went ahead and painted it up to look like a door and glued a bead to it for a doorknob.  My own little fairy door!

I used the same basic materials and technique as for my faux bois shower curtain rod (http://suddenlytaxidermy.blogspot.com/2013/01/3-faux-bois-shower-curtain-rod.html) and painstakingly tuted on my blog (http://suddenlytaxidermy.blogspot.com/2013/02/its-little-things-fairy-door.html).

Thanks!

Wendiek, our local fairies only come in at night when the house is quiet and all are sleeping.
