Cow Milked While Flying in an Airplane

This is my first really "themed" yarn. I was in the Odd Holidays Swap and my partner, the lovely and talented ChameleonHound, had "Cow Milked While Flying IN an Airplane Day" on her list of holidays for me to potentially craft for. I thought it was odd and didn't think I would ever want to make anything for it but low and behold when it was after the deadline and I was still stumped about what to make, I got a flood of ideas for basically ALL the holidays and this is one that came to pass. She received yesterday so I can post now, yay! It's also the first time I've purposefully done the puffy coils (I've done them plenty not on purpose ) and I think they came out pretty decent. Better than I thought they would but not as good as they could have been if you know what I mean. But like I said, my first time! So I think they're pretty awesome.




It's a 3 ply yarn (which might have been a factor in the way the coils weren't perfect) with the blue representing the sky, the black/white being the cow, and the white with POOFS being the clouds! CH seemed pretty happy with it so I guess I did OK, eh? C&C&Q?

Thanks you guys. I'm glad it worked out as well to you guys as it did in my head. A lot of the time my crafty "visions" don't and I show people all excited and they just kind of give me a confused look. But based on your 4 reactions I think this one finally worked, hoorah! Bunny, I don't think socks would work. It's a pretty thick yarn. Thanks for the sentiment, though. But oh, that would be cool to make a sock yarn with coils in it, eh? Oooh... now I'm thinking...

I was thinking the poofs were more like milk slosh during turbulence.  Still pretty darn cool.

this is such a fun yarn!  I'm still not even sure I get the odd holiday, but whatever!  this'll make a great hat or scarf!
