I have really only crocheted 2 other things before this (a beaded beret that was a complete disaster, and a little amiguri penguin) so I am quite proud of how this has turned out.

One of my work collegues is pregnant with her first so I thought I would make her a baby blanket. I found this pattern and although I dont think I quite followed the pattern, it still turned out nice:

I did start it in a pastel rainbow because she didnt know then what she is having, but she found out last week it's a boy - the first in 2 generations of her family!

what do you think? Ax

It's lovely.  I'm sure your friend will really appreciate your thoughtfulness in making her this special gift.

I love how the color joins are not "even"...the colors blend and give it a wonderful look!

Thanks.  Grin It was a bit random. The yarn is a really lovely varigated pastel rainbow, cheap but very soft and pretty. I think the blue border helped to hold the whole thing together and not appear patchy.  Smiley
