I suck with knitting needles and I'm not that great at crochet, and I whipped this up in a couple of days for my moms birthday. I'm working on a few gifts for her. Her office gets cold at work (we're Canadian) and she has to dig out her car all winter, and she likes knitted goods. So I'm making her lots of knitted things! Her birthday is coming up, and we've had a few frosts and one flurry.

The neckerchief is a little scarf based on a pattern I found on Ravelry, for free, called the poppy Neckerchief. I simplified it and followed the directions and added the little loops at the bottom. I rarely do much with crochet, I can chain, single crochet, that's about it. I used 20 pets on a flat loom and just a regular e-wrap and purl stitch (garter stitch) and increase and decrease. Pretty simple!

Here are a couple pics, finished. And one in progress. I used the Martha Steward put-it-together pain-in-the-butt loom kit.
