Grin I love this skirt !
Ive been hoarding this awesome insect fabric for like 5 years now , its really pretty  and has way more than just the typical butterflies ... it also has beetles , caterpillars ladybugs and praying mantis  Shocked all on a slightly off white creamish background

I box pleated this and fully lined it with a soft tan thats trimmed out in thick antique lace
side zip

I love pleats lately and I cant wait to make more of these for spring .. Im a lil iffy on the length .. I wanted it to be classy enough to wear to cook outs and such without risking a pantie flash if Im running around playing with the kids ... but still short enough to not be frumpy but I feel like I should have gone maybe an inch higher or two inches lower lol .. BUT overall Im very happy with it

Thanks so much for looking , Id love to hear some feedback on the length

Have a great day/ night
Jayne

I love that fabric, and the skirt is gorgeous!

I think it would be cute a little shorter as the lace takes it lower, but that length really makes the most of all the insects Grin

Wonderful stuff, as usual! I think the length is great, very versatile. With the lace on the bottom, you could even get away with going a bit shorter and sassier  Cheesy

Cheesy thank you so much everyone for the positive feedback  . I cant wait till warmer weather so I can get a chance to wear this out more . I also think Ill make a few more of these . I Have a couple more lengths of awesome fabric that are begging to be a skirt . One that's a colorful kaleidoscope print on a white background and the other is a white back ground with sketches of zoo animals dressed in colorful business ties ... I just need to get some more light colored lining fabric first

Awesome! You have inspired me. I joke with my boyfriend that I am a sticks and dirt kind of girl, who also loves mud and rocks. Wonder if I could find some fabric with that kind of pattern and try to make something almost as cute as your buggy skirt?
