I was thinking maybe we could a swap with 1 large, 2 mediums and 1 small, in the style of the Back to Hogwarts swap. We could craft one thing based on our Favorite Doctor, Favorite companion, Favorite episode, Favorite object (or villain). Would that be a good size for everyone? Or we could do it without the the favorite theme and just do a regular style swap?

OO, I'd love to join! I'm new to the doctor as well (just finishing up season 3 of the revival), but I'm catching up fast! I haven't seen any of the original stuff, but I thought I'd start that after I caught up to the recent episodes.

I love spikefan's idea. Is Nine anyone else's doctor, or is it just me?

Oh, and on a somewhat related note, I had this idea. After the 12th doctor is revealed, I think we should do a "Year of the Doctor" swap/craftalong, with each month being dedicated to an incarnation of the Doctor and his posse.

I ♥♥♥ Nine!!!
I will do anything.
I just hope that I'm far enough into the series to know the other companions...episodes...villains/things to be able to craft. I'm almost done season 4.

I'm glad you guys like the idea.  Grin I will get started on a questionnaire over the weekend and hopefully have it up by Monday. Did you all want sign-ups right away? And how much crafting time, is 4 weeks okay, or do we need a longer crafting time?

leather and lace, that is a great idea I was actually toying around with the idea of something like that but I haven't watched Doctors 1-7. I did come up with an idea of a 11 days of Doctor Who swap for the 50th anniversary, in a 12 Days of Christmas/13 Days of Halloween swap style but I wasn't sure if anyone would be up for that large of a swap.

Oh and Nine is my favorite as well, he is a very under appreciated Doctor. I absolutely love 10 and 11 as well, but Nine will always be my Doctor.

I ♥♥ Nine too! He is my favourite, so sad he only got one season.

I like the 1/2/1 size, but I'm not sure on the favourites theme thing. I'll with whatever everyone else wants to do.
4 weeks is also enough crafting time for me, longer is great too, but keep in mind, if you want people to get their things before the 50th, postage across the pond to Australia can take 6-8 weeks either way. And I shall sign up whenever you post it Wink

I just hope that I'm far enough into the series to know the other companions...episodes...villains/things to be able to craft. I'm almost done season 4.

That's when Google is your friend. But then of course, spoilers.

I'll be in on that!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Swap has been posted!  Grin http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=426001.0

I put only a week for signup so we can get some Who crafting going quicker, but if anyone thinks it needs to be longer just let me know and I can extend it. Same goes for crafting and send-out times.
