Books, journals and book repurposing, oh my! This month, your challenge is to repurpose a book in some way or create your own book from scratch. Do you have a second-hand book that is beyond repair? How about an old phone book tucked away in a drawer? Always had an inkling to make a book purse or book safe from it? This month is for you! Have you always wanted to create a book from scratch? This month is also for you! You choose your project type and get creative!

This month, we're crafting based on Stifflersmom's challenge idea!

You can use other materials in your project, but your book should be the star of the show.

No need to limit yourself to traditional reading books, either -- all books are welcome in this challenge! Needle books, recipe books, felt books, you name it. Pick a book, any book!

Additional Rules and Details:

Craft your project during this challenge period (Feb 4 2013 - Mar 10 2013) only. Projects created before this timeframe will be excluded from the voting poll.
On Mar 1 2013, there will be a special folder created for entries. Post your entry on the specified entry board during the period of Mar 1 to Mar 10 11:59:59 PDT 2013. No sooner. No later.
Voting will happen from Mar 11 - Mar 18 2013.
The winner will be officially announced on the first business Monday of the next month -- in our April newsletter, on this thread and on the Craftster blog. We will contact you via Private Message, after the announcement, to get your prize package information.
Enter only ONE project. Your entry can have multiple components to it.

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original, has never been posted on Craftster, or made by anyone else in the past. But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, please give credit to that project.

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
(3) and a prize from us at Craftster.org -- any one item from one of Craftster's online shops!
