I started dressmaking in the summer and have three books and a good old passion.
I own a few dresses with elasticated waists and I wanted to make my own. I found a site (I forgot what it was) and the blogger had made one herself out of one piece fabric. She just stitched the sides up and added in elastic! Simple.
So inspired, I took a couple of pattern bits (A bodice and a full skirt) and made this...

EDIT: I checked my brower history and found the dress of inspired was via Craftster - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=376660.0

I like this, seems simple and something I could use up some stash fabrics with. Thanks for sharing.
