Hi guys! I got word from PJ that she received my quilt on the 5th, but she's got some family stuff going on. So I'm going to post a few pics.

I was really nervous, because this isn't my usual style. But she said she likes it and I hope her little grand daughter (who it's for) does too!

A butterfly, in a collage, crazy stitch, kind of style. My themes to go with were butterflies, pink, and purple.

Some detail shots of the wings.

Great job, Jessica! Andrea's Baguette looks so realistic I feel like I should be able to reach out and pet him!

Retro, I really like the textural aspect of the butterfly quilt!

The butterfly one is so fun! from first glance, it looked like a tissue paper collage, but I thought to myself, surely that can't be because this is a while swap.....so I very much enjoyed seeing how you created the fun look of the quilt.

Thanks Retro_Rose for posting a few pictures of the beautiful butterfly.

Amy made this beautiful butterfly for my granddaughter and I wanted to get pics with her with it. Here are 4 closeups of Lauren's favorite parts!

Now here is a picture of her with her quilt.... I think that smile says it all!

Thank you so much for blessing my little Shuggie!
I hope you love yours as much as she loves hers!

What a beautiful butterfly quilt and a cute pic of pjherbert's granddaughter with it!!!

I know TroubleT has been very busy, so I thought I would some pics of the quilt I sent her. Hopefully, when she has some time I would love to see pics of the quilt at it's new home!

I went with her theme of Buddha. I thought it would be a fun challenge to make and I would get to learn a little about Buddhism, which is very interesting!

The shape of the quilt is suppose to represent a lotus. Buddha is also sitting on a lotus, which is actually 3d. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the main petals have wire in them which allows them to stick out and be shaped.

Here is the back...

Here is a close up of some of the detail...

The green fabric is actually straight off her pinterest! I thought it was really beautiful fabric so I wanted to incorporate it into the quilt. I ended up doing tons of hand sewing on the quilt. I also tried to do french knots for the hair, but I was having trouble getting it to look right, so I ended up going with glass beads.

I am super impressed with your lotus! That must have been tricky binding that shape!

Awe thank you guys Cheesy! Yeah the binding was kind of a big pain, especially since I really haven't done much quilting. But it was a good learning experience. This has to be the most time I have ever spent making an item for a swap.
