So, I've seen a variety of posts regarding this, but a lot of them are old, so I wasn't sure if anyone is still interested in doing something like this.

I would very much like to get together a crafting group for meeting up once a month, once every two weeks, whatever. I am thinking especially to focus on crafts that can be completed (or almost completed) in one session/meetup.

I was especially thinking of upcycling/repurposing things - especially from Goodwill/Salvation Army/thrift stores, as well as low-cost (dollar store) crafts. Here's a few links for things I thought we could try:

And these are really just a few to start.

I'm located in the Baltimore area, and don't have a place to host at the moment, but that may change by the time enough interest is drummed up to get a meeting together.

I really want to meet some new crafting friends, and I think this would be a lovely way to go about it! Anyone in?

On a related note, just found this pinterest board of 20 minute or less crafts - which would be perfect for this kind of setting! If I can get any takers, lol

I'm in Baltimore City, soon to be moving to Parkville, Baltimore County and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do something like this. I've been coming back here hoping someone would revive the idea.  When I tried looking for similar things here before, I only found the Charm City Craft Mafia which is not what I was looking for. Your ideas seem right on, especially the upcycling/refashioning.

So, keep in touch please!!

Slight bumping for more interest..? Two people is great - CarinaJo, kaz814, do you have any friends that might also be interested that aren't on craftster?

I'm settled in my new place and starting to build up my "craft nook" slowly but surely.

I have a friend who is an awesome crafter that I think might be interested. She knits and crochets and I know she has also made a book. I will talk to her to see what she thinks!

I'm in Baltimore City and would enjoy getting involved.  My interests are all over the place...currently polymer clay and alcohol ink, but would be up for most anything.
