As a waldorf mother, I sit in front of an unlit fireplace  - Unlit, because instead of a roaring fire, my hearth is filled with seasonal goodness that the children find on various walks.
Nestled among the acorns, snail shells, feathers, pebbles and other such wonderment will always be one of these fae folk (dependant on the season)

I figure my fireplace is warm enough Wink

They are very pretty, how big are they?
Hi trekky, they generally turn out about 12 inches for the main characters and then anything from 3 - 7 inches for any additional wee folk
