As a lover of fleece and felting, I love to gather woolen products whereever I go.
Shown here are two of my most favourite upcycled quited blankets.
I buy old woolen suits, coats, jumpers and scarves whereever I go and store them (My husband just loves me Smiley )
and when I have enough I felt them in the washing machine (hot temperature shrinks all the fibres so you can cut it up without it unpicking), I then cut out shapes and create warm blankets.
Am currently working on a diamond blanket and will post up photos as soon as its done.
Would love to hear from people interested in making one, or indeed if you have had a go already !

when you upload your images do not click mature images if it is not cussing or somewhat pornographic in nature Wink

Super cute!

The OP accidentally used the mature tag when it was uploaded, I have removed the tag. The new uploading software makes it a little easy to accidentally hit the wrong box when uploading. In the future, please hit "report to mod" on anything that needs a moderator's attention, it is the quickest way for us to find it. Thanks!

I found my way to this post via the crafty detective swap thread...I simply love love love that purple quilt, it is such a good idea to recycle woolen jumpers in that way.

(love your felted people too...my daughter used to go to a steiner school and I have made a few in my time, not as pretty as yours though)
