Thanks!!  Cheesy

Etsy and I don't seem to do too well together - I sometimes use it, but currently (like the last 3 months) I have no vehicle and so my ability to get to a post office is extremely diminished. Currently things are piling up here.  Cheesy

Wow... amazing!

I just finished my first cat and I started to give it long hair and then gave up! So much patience..

A few questions Smiley So do you lay down each layer and then cut the extra whisps?

I also love the ears! do you have a wire in them or are they simply felted?

THank you!!  Cheesy Cheesy

Fur is trimmed after rooting!

The ears are just felted.

I'm not a fan of wire armatures in needle felting. I have used them and there are times when they really must be used, but I generally avoid it! Wink

This is simply stunning!!! I don't needle felt but I really want to learn how.

Just a question, how long does it take to put fur on your felted projects?

Thank You!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Of course it depends on the size of the object - furring is time consuming. I probably spent a couple of days furring this cat. I expect to be doing another in the next month or so. I will try to keep track of the time actually spent just rooting fiber for fur. =^..^=

Thanks, for letting me know. Smiley I'd like to do very small projects like only 2 inches long and maybe 1 inch tall. How long do you think that would take?

Yes, next time you should record how long it takes you to put fur on your project, I'm sure it would be helpful to  lot of people.

Wow!!! Awesome work. Beautiful! Is the fur really made of felt? It looks sooo real. You are VERY talented. Thank you sharing your amazing work.

Might depend on the complexity of the piece, but I could see spending a couple of hours rooting fur.
On my smaller cats I will fur some parts before putting the piece together - trying to fur an inside leg when it is attached is not an easy thing to do! Wink

Mixed Kreations - Thanks for the compliments!! Smiley The fur is made by rooting strands of fiber into the needle felted foundation so it really isn't "felt".
