Yay!  First to post in the gallery  Cheesy  I received a beautiful watercolor painting from LA Fairy called "Cerridwen's Spring"  My favorite goddess is Cerridwen, the Crone of the Welsh triple goddess.  Normally she is viewed as the typical Halloween witch and very "dark" - LA Fairy's interpretation of her in the spring is just wonderful!  Here's my new awesome piece of art ...

I was going to wait until tomorrow to get a pic in natural light, but it's been unusually gloomy here with rain.  If tomorrow provides better light, I'll take another pic.  (Or if LA Fairy has a better picture I would love for her to post it!)  I just want to make sure the picture does the art work justice - it really is wonderful!

Thank you so much, Lexy - I love her!  (And I feel a little more lame about the "art" I sent you  Tongue ... oh, how I envy those that are truly artists!)

Got this piece of shrinky dink ... had it for 25 years now.  It's moved to five states and one European country ... and I just know, someday ... SOMEDAY ... I WILL use it!

Gorgeous! Watercolors intimidate me ALOT, but they make such beautiful art.  Well done Lexy!

I am working on getting my pictures up now.  Yesterday was hectic and I didn't get half of what I wanted to done.

here is what I received. I think the art is very pretty.

Thanks Tammy!
btw, did the blessing not make it?

Thanks for all the lovely comments. Tutorial, eh? Let's see, I got a reference piece and softly sketched the face on the canvas. then I covered the parts that should remain white with liquid masking stuff, then added the hair and smoke with with several layers and water and sponges. then when that dried I added skin color and defined her face.  Cheesy
