I'm twenty-three and learned to sew, craft, cook and bake at my grandmother's and mother's elbows, which means that I learned by watching them.
I have many a happy memory that includes some form of art with my grandmother. I especially loved watching her draw out patterns on newspaper. She would often go shopping, find something she liked, turn it inside-out to study it then go home and make something similar, only much nicer.

I need to get myself back into a crafting spirit. I have such a large craft stash but no ideas, which is sad.

My family has learend to live with finding pins, needles, and bits of thread in a trail wherever I've gone.

On another note:
I was once a member of this site some time ago. I shared an account with my younger sister, who took over because I was more into DeviantArt because I have loads of friends there.
Sadly, she is very childish and I decided not to go back to that account (I didn't want to be associated with some of the things she said), just to let her keep it but I never made one for just me.
The account didn't get limbo'd or anything, but the email attached to it is no longer valid due to such a long period of not being checked (I had made it to go with the craftster account and she never checked it).

Hi FreakieGeekie--I came to read a little more about you since I noticed that you joined the 50 Projects craftalong...I hope you are inspired to share your projects and to get new ideas from your fellow craftsters...we have a blast and we always enjoy it when new members become addicted to swapping and entering the challenges!

Can't wait to see more of your projects!

I love the HPC. It's given me lots of ideas!
I bought myself a pattern making guide a while back and I just found it again a few weeks ago so I'll be attempting pattern making soon.
