I had been ask how I made the cards, which is honestly difficult to show, because I work very fast when I have started and don't take pictures while I am working.

Everything starts with the linart:

I sometimes draw using pencil, but in some cases also using ballpoint pens and others. At the moment I prefer using references, so in this way I also wanna train myself with drawing and motivating. Also I am testing papers I have taken from one of our craft stores, because I think that some of my cards look bad because of the paper I am using.

When I am done with the lineart I normally scan it, so if I fail I am gonna be able to draw it again.

For coloring I normally use watercolors, mainly White Nights and Schmincke Watercolors (I think Schmincke is typical German). I use bigger and smaller brushes and tons of water, in some cases also salt. At the end I set some highlights using a white gel pen and in some cases watercolor pencils.

how do you use salt with watercolors? i also wondered what brand of pencils you use. i just got a set of derwent inktense pencils and the color is much deeper and i really like them.

Derwent Inktense Pencils are fantastic, but so expensive here in Germany. I have got a combination of Faber Castell and Mondulez Watercolor Pencils and also use Stabilo Watercolor Pencils ... although Stabilo isn't that good than the others.

The salt technique is very simple. I use lots of water on the drawing and then put some salt on it ... there are amazing effects at the end ... but I think it work with normal watercolors only and not with watercolor pencils.
