I bought a big box of door knobs off of craigslist for only $10 (score!) because there were some vintage brassy ones in there. However, I got stuck with a whole bunch of junk ones and the guts and some keys, etc.

Was wondering if anyone had any neat ideas on what to do with these poor hunks of metal...? I know I can make a coat rack like I do with the vintage ones, but are there any other ideas? These are the ones that have no matching keys and don't work well as a set...

If the knobs are the same height, you could use them for legs on something.  The deadbolts might work, too.
The flat face plates might make a windchime if they sound good.

I liked the idea of a wind chime using the strike plates & keys

Maybe the knobs can be mounted on a sturdy climbing wall for some climbing fun

The rest of the knob "guts", take to a metal recycler for some ca$hola! Have fun Smiley

HUbby just changed doorknob and I held onto the old for a reason I was clueless for.  LOL  Now I see some cool ideas. Thanks.  Mary
