Having a kitchen that drives you nuts is awful... I know, I'm living with it too. But on the bright side, you came up with a great idea to save the cutlery from bug attacks. Great job... I might make one for the cottage or for eating outside in the summer.

One summer here in Florida, we had an invasion of tiny flies, and they drove me crazy for months even into cold weather.  They were everywhere, even got in the syrup bottle when I forgot to close the lid tight.  I found out to get rid of them pour some drain cleaner down the drains.  They were some sort of tiny drain fly that was able to live in the drain even with all the water that went down it, apparently in the grease that accumulates.  Try that.  Also, try tape over the tiny gap around the window to seal that access.  Good luck, and I like your cuttlery-tray cozy, although it could get annoying trying to grab something in a hurry!  LOL!! Too bad I don't hear voices, I would enjoy the company

Well,  you may not have kitchen drawers, but you sure made lemonade.  Such a pretty display piece for your kitchen.
