Sunset Nails Tutorial

You nails look like one of those wonderful tropical drinks! ha ha

or a gorgeous sunset...I would never have thought to use tape to keep my skin from getting all painted up...about how long does it last with the top coat and all?  Can you touch it up easily?

I have no idea! lol I've only had them painted like this since I posted the tute and all I've done is sleep since then! 

I love this so much!  Thanks for sharing.  I have a question about applying the polish with a sponge.   How do you do it?  Do you pour the polish directly onto the sponge or do you use some sort of palette?  Is the sponge wet to start?  Do you use the same spot on the sponge with each colour change to get it blended right?  Or do you use a clean spot/sponge each colour?

Sorry, not really a question.  More like a series of them.

I took a regular triangle makeup sponge and cut a little piece off here and there as I needed them. I put a little dab of nail polish right on the sponge in between each nail. By the time I got to the last 2 nails on each layer there was enough polish in the sponge that I didn't need to reapply. I used about a third of the sponge so I have plenty left over to do a few more looks like this. MissChievous has her paint on a plastic plate that she dipped into but I did mine while in bed so I just painted right on the sponge.

They're awesome! I'd never have thunk of using a sponge, but I'm definitely going to try it with all those sparkly blues and purples I have

*Psstt...I don't use tape, just a hefty application of Vaseline or similar on a q tip . Or pick it off while at work

Actually, while I was using PinkyK's glass grinder yesterday some of it chipped a little and it was a super easy fix! Just a little purple pounced on the tips and it's all better!

WHAAAAAAA WHY HAVE I NEVER EVEN SEEN THESE!!! How amazing would these nails have looked at my catwalk show?? HOMG it's like your naile were made for my dresses!!!
