I'm so sorry - it's really hard that we love them so deeply and their lives are shorter than ours.  I still sometimes cry over cats that died years ago because I miss them so much - and yet I'm so grateful for the time I had with them.  I know you will never regret loving Gaberlin, and being loved in return.
