My hominy did not have anything to drain...it was like a solid blob in the can...once cooked, they separated into nice pieces...mmmm...thi s also made great leftovers and I bet it would freeze if there was any leftover...none in my house!

Mine had a little liquid, but not much. I love hominy, and I always forget it exists! I made mine extra hot with hot rotel tomatoes, hot jalapenos, extra chili flakes, and pepper jack cheese, but it could be made anywhere from hot to mild by changing the ingredients to mild or medium.
