I have a couple of antique coins I kept out of my grandfather's coin collection when it was sold off after his death - both from 1880 (each of the grandchildren kept two coins from 100 years prior to their birthdate) and I'd like to make one of them into a necklace. I've seen some beautiful bead-bezeled coins and have done cabochons in the past, does anyone have any advice on adapting the technique to a coin?

Do you mean like this:

It can be adapted for any size, so a coin should work.
