Last year in October I promised a friend of mine "something handmade" and she wanted "a raccoon". Since then I've been asking myself what I could do... it was supposed to be a small project. With a raccoon, of course.

I finally had an idea that I liked last week - a brooch with a felt raccoon. I love how it turned out - and she obviously likes it, too ^^

That is fantastic. I love how you combined the felt badge with the cameo frame Cheesy I really want to do this now... Where did you find the brooch base?

What?!? This is the best thing ever! Rocked!
My favorite touch is how his ears are dimensional, like he's peeking out of a hidey-hole in a tree.

That is the cutest thing ever.  I love how you have his ears popping out of the frame.

I get them from a wholesale website. (I did a quick search for etsy shops located in the USA first, but I didn't find any who offer those settings)

Thank you for sharing! Seeing them without the raccoon, I now recognize them as something I have seen before in jewelry supply sections at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc.
