Oh my gosh, suereal! I'm calling them gloopies from now on - such a better name!!

I made this wild recipe last night to accompany our black bean burgers...
http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/cucumber-mango-salad-10000001860098/

It's a crazy combo flavors - sweet from the mango, spicy from jalapeno, salty from the peanuts, warm from the cumin and corriander, sour from the lime and all for less than 100 calories per serving. It's kind of a fun change from a green salad but also a pain in the butt to put together so it won't be on regular rotation for us.

we've found making weekly meal plans help to cut the "what am i going to make for dinner?" conundrum. It's also more economical, as we waste less and have a plan for lunches and leftovers

Here's from tonight.  Changed my mind and went with green beans.  Used the leftover glaze from the baking dish on the rice, too.  Topped with a bit of fresh orange zest.

Really similar, Mare! Only with cucumbers and peanuts. We actually put it on top of our black bean patties.

sweets - what a good idea to put orange zest on rice!! Definitely going to remember that. Looks like a healthy and yummy dinner!

Myrdda - I totally agree! I've started doing meal plans every Sunday and it's helped me a ton. No more excuses to come home and just order a pizza because we can't think of anything else Smiley.

Morning smoothie:

Chia and/or hemp seeds
spinach and/or kale
spoonful of green powder
frozen berries and/or fruit
juice

Blended until smooth. The kids don't exactly *love* this but they will drink it and I do love it. It wakes me up better than coffee ever could and I feel full and energized and happy for hours after finishing it off. It rocks!

I'm thinking about adding some soaked nuts/seeds and dried fruit and replacing the juice with water. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds, unsulfered apricots, high in iron, protein, calcium, zinc, etc. I've got a vitamix so it all comes out perfectly smooth.

I make a morning smoothie very close to craftylittlemonkey. ..

Cleansing smoothie:

In vitamix throw
several handfuls kale
Whole lemon cut in quarters
Spoonful of chia seeds
1 banana
Blob of honey
And fill with water

My kids call it "green monster drink" and love it

I made these bad boys last night.  SO good!  And it's fun to fill shells with a pastry bag. Cheesy  I added more broc and Mrs. Dash, too.  http://www.budgetsavvydiva.com/2013/01/skinny-stuffed-shells-recipe/

What are you guys eating today?

I had a protein shake after my workout, and just had a salad wrap with cottage cheese on the side for breakfast.

Awesome, sweets!! I pinned that recipe. I LOVE pasta soooo much but I usually go overboard when I make it. This looks like a good healthy alternative.

I made spicy lentil tacos tonight. They were flavorful and filling and 300 calories for 2 of them - even with the crunchy taco shells Smiley.
