I love your quilt and I especially love the reasons behind why it wasn't finished. You've lived a very interesting life so far.

I read the post about your quilt, and thought that the quilt represented your strength.  I think you should be proud of yourself AND your quilt!  Cheesy

How wonderful that this quilt has been around for so much of your life. Definitely you should take pride in finishing it up. Good for you; that was quite an accomplishment! I think it's just beautiful.

Awesome EdelC.  They say that each quilt tells a story about the quilter.  Yours definitely does.  What a great finish.  I love the use of the old quilt.  Absolutely inspired.

Beautiful quilt, beautiful story.  I do hope that one day you can sleep under it,  but until then, feel pride in your accomplishment!  Congratulations on finally finishing it.  Kiss Smiley

Oh my gosh, that quilt is beautiful. I love all the variety of colors and patterns, and the idea that you could have bits that came off the queen's clothes is just too cool!

I started a quilt when I was in 4th grade (I'm 16 now), and I have a feeling it will have a story similar to this one someday, since it still needs to be bound and tied, and I'll be getting the heck out of here as soon as I graduate Tongue. And your life sounds amazing. Australia and England are my top two awesome places I want to live, though Australia is a bit wishy-washy, since I'm afraid of scorpions, snakes, and big bugs, but I find kangaroos absolutely adorable. . .

Any
way, it's so inspiring that you kept with it through all those years! If anything, it has even more meaning to you, I would think. Good job and congrats!

thanks sweetie..australia rocks!...and mostly you just see the nastier bugs and crawlies in the zoo...kangaroos are cute, but the koalas and the wombats are amazing!....go when you get the chance, until then plan and dream to find a way...the one thing that I have learned is that mostly in this life, the things that you will regret are the things that you don't do
