For cosplay purposes! Attempting to, at least. I don't have very much experience, and I was just wondering if it seems at all possible, and if so, how one would go about it. The dresses I'm trying to make are these:

those are totally doable.  I would start by looking for a pattern that's similar (or a couple that can be combined together to get the general shape of the dresses). 

Check Simplicity's costume (or formal dress section) to start as those look like dresses I've seen there.  Beyond that check Burda and McCall's and go from there.
