I have this bracelet that I want to reconstruct with black ribbon and not much more. I have the end pieces picked out, but my problem is I don't know how I should construct this with wire going through the ribbon and holding it to the bracelet without covering the decorative plates. Any ideas are more than welcome!

easy way would be to simply zig zag the ribbon throungh the open rings.  front to back from through first hoop back to front from bottom to top on second hoop and so on. Or another way would be to wrap wire top to bottom across hoops and thread ribbon like a belt buckle.   Does any of that make sense?

You want the ribbon flat behine the bracelet with wire holding the bracelet to the ribbon?  I would take two lengths of wire and criss cross them behind the patterned plates, through the open loops, and piercing them through the ribbon in behind the plates, or wrapping around the ribbon if that makes sense.  If you want the ribbon to lie flat on your wrist though, I wonder if you need something a bit more substantial to give it some support, like a width or leather, or plastic.
