nolansmomster I'm so glad you like them!!!  The bluish one was the closest I could find to a robins egg blue colour.  Its the Rapunzel pattern, just long strips braided into a 5 strand braid.  I loved how it came out.  And nolansmomster mentioned liking the one I was offering in the other swap we are in together so I made her one too!!!

The first is yarn, ribbon and thread sandwiched between water soluble stabilizer. Sewn from end to end and then cross ways the entire length.

The one on the right is 5 layers of flannel cut on the bias.  Spray stabilizer keeps then together during sewing.  Sewn aprox. 1/2 in apart  the total length of scarf.  Then you cut the top two and bottom two layers of flannel.  cut all the way through 6 inches on each end.  Wash and then dry and the flannel ravels to become a soft chenille. The more it gets washed the softer it gets.  When layering the 5 pieces you need to make sure the layers 1,2, 4 and 5 all face with the right side of fabric facing away from the center piece.

The yarn was my favorite too!  Since I do not crochet or knit it was fun getting to look at all the yarns and make choices of what to put together.  For those of you that have yarn scraps, a great way to use leftovers!

I've seen tutes for both those techniques, quaggy, and you totally mastered them both. Good job!

It's great to see all the scarves coming in!

I just wish me and my partner would receive already! Tongue

I really like the circles on the ends of the aqua scarf!

I almost did the same bias-cut flannel for mama24boyz, but if I would have waited for a chance to get the sewing machine out, it would never have been done before deadline!
