I want to thank everyone for posting patterns and detailed shots of the scarves!  I love the different stitches and also new ways to make scarves!  I am dying to try the flannel scarf and the sewn yarn scarf...quaggy, thanks for teaching a new technique!

deathbeforedishes--you look all cuddly with your scarf!  I am glad you like it...it is one of my favorite stitches--the yarn is called BIGGO...soft and cuddly!

Also, the felt circle scarf is a work of art!  Need a bit more detail on that one, please! Cheesy

Beautiful crochet ...

oh--and the hooded scarf/cowl is so cool!  I want to try one of those, too!  You ladies have given me a year worth of yarn patterns to try out!

Ditto on what Alwaysinmyroom said............suc h wonderful scarves!!! and such diverse ideas!!!
I def want to try the flannel one and the wool circles one.
I can't crochet to save my life (I've tried and tried to learn) so I will admire those and ooooh and ahhhh over them.
I can knit a bit, so I may have to try out some new things..........

Can't wait to see what my partner has made for me.............:-)

i used the pattern on this blog http://peoplewebs.blogspot.com/2011/01/pattern-chunky-circle-scarf.html

a lot of the comments show that people had a ton of trouble with the pattern, thankfully i understood it pretty well! i did take the advice to lengthen it though!

Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.

Thanks for the kind words about the wool felt circle scarf.

After careful thrift store shopping for the right color wool sweaters, I felted them in my washing machine. Then I used a template like a CD or jar lid or something. I laid them out in the pattern I wanted and did a double stitch  with monofilament thread so it wouldn't show. Where the circles overlapped, I felted with my felting needles so they would not flap around. Then I just added felted some polka dots to the black circle because it was just screaming for some color.
