For those of us that are still stalking...maybe we can throw out some additional information.

What's your favorite song and musician and kind of music?  I love what used to be known as punk or alternative, right now every time I hear a song I like it's by Maroon 5.  The funny thing is that I always think I don't like them.lol


What kinds of jobs have you had and what was your favorite?  I've had a lot, I'm very well-rounded.  Here goes:

hostess/waitress
fast food management
retail management
grocery store cashier/worker/manager
office secretary
fudge maker (on Mackinac Island in Michigan)
hotel maid
skateguard (roller rink)
daycare provider in my home
jobs at a college: secretary, placement testing coordinator, dental clinic receptionist, student life coordinator and some recruitment

My fave? I've learned a lot from each of them, but I do love what I do now the best - student life coordinator with recruitment

I like all music except techno. I love Dispatch,OAR,Nirvana,Slightly Stoopid,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Phil Collins,Van Morrison,Janis Joplin,Tool,AFI,Anti-Flag, Seriously I could go on all day

My favorite job was waiting tables. I was really good at it and always had regulars. I'm going to college to be an Elementary school teacher, I will graduate this fall.

I'm crafting away at my large item and have several ideas for my smalls and medium.  Is there a hard limit as to how much I can send?  Cause I've got too many ideas to narrow it down!!

My favorite was as a medical assistant... I worked for a allergist and did allergy testing and patient education.

violet - I don't think I've heard any Fiona Apple in years! Train is excellent, I do like them a lot!  Miranda Lambert is just cute as pie, isn't she?  And that husband of hers...he could make me go country.

What's your favorite song and musician and kind of music? I have a huge variety of what I like. Lately I've been listening to a bunch of my operaish tracks, so quite a bit of Beverly Sills, Sumi Jo, Luciano Pavaratti, and recently picked up an Anna Netrebko album to add to that playlist. Overall favorites other than those include Naturally 7, Weird Al (some of my all-time favorite songs are Weird Al numbers ), instrumental soundtracks (including from movies like Lord of the Rings or Narnia, tv shows like Doctor who, or video games like the Assassin's Creed series or World of Warcraft; I won't list specific songs, but I have huge favorites in all the specific soundtracks I just mentioned). I also really appreciate vocal groups that do great harmony, whether acapella or not.

I have a ridiculously short career history so I'm not sure it's even worth mentioning. Just a couple internships and that crafty store I off-hand mentioned earlier in the thread.

I have really loved all my jobs except the Lawyers Assistant, 40 hour work week with about 30 of them by myself doing dictaphone typing up law suits. wow does that tell my age or what.

My favourite music is mostly rock and I've been stuck in a rut listening to the same music for some years because I refused to listen to "the hipster music everyone loves so much." But then I realised I kinda like it, so now I really love Mumford and sons and The lumineers. But I still love classic rock (like Led zeppelin or Pink Floyd) and artists like Leonard Cohen or Nick Cave and some female artists like Amanda Palmer, Fiona Apple or Regina Spektor. I also like electronics like Massive attack, Bonobo... Not to mention my fiancee is in a jazz bass player so he introduced me to a lot of jazz I also like now:)

I don't have that many working experiences: I was a guard in a gallery for 2 days (it was very boring), I was a teacher in high school for two months (teaching design and such) and it was the worst two months of my life (I was 22, they were 15/18. they didn't really respect me:)) and then I was a copy writer for 2 years which was both awesome and really really hard. I'm unemployed now and finishing my college degree and don't really know if I want to continue a career in advertising (I'm not really OK with all the (im)moral aspects of it) or start something new. But it's really hard to get a job here anyway, so I probably won't have a choice once I'm on the market again.

favourite song?  right now... Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men.  my music taste is all over. mumford and sons are on pretty high rotation right now, but itunes on shuffle throws out... some really random tunes.  and i love it. not real fussy on current country, but i lurve me some patsy cline.


jobs?- life guard,  worked in the kitchen of a long term care facility, waitress (everything from greasy spoon diner, to beer slingin blue collar bar to fine dining, i was good at it. i liked the money, but i wont ever do it again, i just cannot be nice to people for less than minimum wage ever again),book/comic store clerk.

my fav? i think i learned something from all the jobs i held in my younger days and hold those lessons as valuable. but. none of them were careers.  they were all stop gap fillers before real life started.  i havent been back to work since my bot was born.  and i think about it every once in a while. but i still dont know what i want to be when i grow up.

What's your favorite song and musician and kind of music?  My favorite song right now is Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I love P!nk, like love love love... but I am really eclectic with my love of music. I love bluegrass, like what my grandpa used to listen to from the 30's and 40's... Oh Brother Where Art Thou is a good soundtrack for that kind of style, and Oh Mickey Where Art Thou is just as awesome. I could hit on every single decade, but I love music. I am not a huge fan of rap or heavy metal, but that isn't to say that I don't have a few rap songs on my ipod... I just prefer music with instruments and a melody. I love Matchbox20, Dixie Chicks, Barry Manilow, Elvis... Andrea Bocelli... Air Supply... I could go on and on...

My favorite job, hands down, was being a Stay at home mommy.  But if I had to choose a different job, I would have to say being a Front Desk clerk at Disneyland. I got to check people into a hotel where they were going to have a wonderful time. They were usually excited to be there and happy to see me.

Well I use to clean a teachers classroom, and now I just baby sit.

Pretty much decided on what to make my partner. I haven't started crafting anything yet because this entire week has been consumed trying to plan and get everything for my soon to be five year old's birthday party this Sunday. I crazily decided to make all the decorations and stuff for the games to save money as well as superhero masks and bottlecap necklaces for twelve children. And... only about 1/2 way done on both fronts so far.  So after Sunday I should be able to get some good crafting time in for my partner.
