Here is my bonus survey plus pics of my dog for my wishlist item.

1. Would you be okay with a set of smaller items in place of one large item? I would be fine with that as long as they are small things my partner knows I would love.
2. Would it be okay to send a specific (expensive) crafting kit as a large item? That would be okay as long as the materials and tools are good quality.
3. What kind of music do you prefer? I listen to mostly loud rock: Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Five finger Death Punch, Shinedown. I also listen to some swing, Motown, Mannheim Steamroller.
4. Are you a planner or a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants gal? A little bit of both. I have a planner I keep track of everything in, but I still dont like having everything planned out. I pretty much stick with the plan when I have to (work, doctors appointments) and ignore plans when I can (weekends!!!).
5. Do you have any favorite quotes?

"It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf." Walter Lippman.

"Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius--and a lot of courage--to move in the opposite direction." Albert Einstein

"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."
Voltaire (1694-1778)

"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them." Mark Twain

"The T.V. business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs." --Hunter S. Thompson

And I thought to myself, 'These people are artists. They're not supposed to be acting like normal people. They should be acting aloof and riding some sort of bizarre bicycle that they made themselves.'
6. If you could be world famous for one thing, what would you like it to be? For art. Or for being well-balanced and organized.
7. What are you currently reading? Random craft and cooking books.
8. What makes you laugh on TV? A lot of different things. Inapprpriate and crass things, jokes you have to think about, running jokes. I am just not a fan of the easy setup. If I can guess the joke, its not funny.
9. What kind of games do you like and is there an image from a game you are particularly fond of? I mostly play board games, but I cant think of any images that stick with me from any of them.
10. What are your preferred letters and font for monograms? Anything fun and unique. I love monograms, but not in the traditional lettering. I work in graphic design, and I love really odd, new fonts.
11. Are you an only child? Nope, I have one brother.
12. What is your favorite way to spend an afternoon? Hanging around outside with my family and close friends. If I could work gardening, crafting or cooking into that, that would be ideal.
13. Do you enjoy edibile treats as extras? If so; sweet, salty, spicy? I love all of those! I dont want to get too many since I am trying to eat super healthy. But tea and coffee are always welcome. And a few sweets wont kill me!
14. Any piercings? Tattoos? Wierd hairstyles? Ears pierced, one small tattoo on my foot, no crazy hair. I may have mellowed out a bit. J
15. Are you a sports fan? If so, what? Also, what teams, individuals? No.
16. What would you say your style is? Kind of bohemian meets thrift store finds with lots of bright color and patterns.

17. Are you cold all the time, or do you overheat? I run hot all the time. I love to wear sweaters and other winter gear, but I take them all off as soon as I am outside.
18. Is it too late in the season to send outerwear? No.
19. Are you a past thinker, present thinker, or future thinker and why? Ugh, thats a hard one. I guess present mostly. Although I do spend a lot of time thinking about whats coming up next. But I dont really feel like that interferes with anything.
20. If you could travel/live anywhere, where would that be? I really, really love where I live. But I wish the winters went back to how they used to be cold and snowy. If I had to move, I would go to Northern Minnesota or Canada.
21. What did you want to be when you grew up? Could you see yourself doing that now? I really always wanted to be an artist, but my parents effectively crushed that idea. But it worked out because I am not a professional artist, but I spend a good chunk of my time making art. J I could so see myself being a full-time artist though.
22. What sorts of films do you enjoy? Any favorite movies? Would you enjoy crafts inspired by them? I dont know what types of movies I watch, but I can tell my faves! Lost Highway, The Crow, Edward Scissorhands, Usual Suspects, Everything is Illuminated, Batman (the recent ones), Looper, Fifth Element, Blade Runner. I would be all for craft inspired by them as long as its something practical. I dont think I would really be down for something like Crow arumigami or sculptures.
23. Would you be disappointed or happy to recieve a package comprised all or mostly of one type of craft? I really wouldnt care. As long as items are well made and fit my style, technique doesnt matter.
24. For jewelry, what is your preferred clasp? Lobster claw? Hook? Toggle? Something I didn't name? Lobster claw is my top choice, but pretty much anything that I dont have to twist together is fine.
25. Which is more revealing/useful for your stalker in terms of getting your style and wants right, your questionnaire or your wist? I think they really work together. Dont forget to check out the blog link in my signature. It goes to a crazy detailed blog post just for craftster stalking. I havent updated it in a while (2 years), but the general ideas are the same.
26. What are your favorite non-edible things to receive if your partner chooses to send little non-crafted extras? Washi tape, fun drawing tools like markers and pencils (not pastels though).
27. Do you like practical only items that have a function? Are you ok with a mix of practical and knickknack? Do you just love tons of crafted items to set out and make life pretty? I prefer practical things that are pretty!
28. Would you be okay with 2-3 medium items instead of 1 possibly half decent large? Sure.
29. I know we put favorite colors down but more specific, if you were to get an item for your _________, what colors would you prefer?
Kitchen: Any color

Living room: Tangerine, eggplant, blues

Craft room: Any

Bedroom: Earthy greens, blues, greys, browns and off-white.
30. What kind of soaps do you like? Do you like citrus, earthy, goat's milk, mosturizing? Anything moisturizing and that has my fave scents. Unscented is fine too.
31. Would you rather something made for you fit a bit big (but adjustable) or would you rather not have something crafted if there could be issue with sizing? Big but adjustable.
32. How do you feel about tie dye or batik? Tie dye, not so much. Batik, ok.
33. Do you drink tea or coffee? Any fav. types/flavours? Yes, decaf only please. Any tea but earl grey or licorice. Any coffee is good.
34. Scrappy or matchy matchy? Scrappy for sure! As I love to say, matching is for sissies.
35. How do you feel about getting items from recycled stuff? Fine as long as they are clean and in good shape.
36. How do you go about swap research? Do you make lists, bookmark ideas, fill up notebooks, take mental notes, use post-its....or any other ways? How far will you look into your partner? Do you pour over blogs/threads etc? All of the above. I will generally scroll through a good chunk (or all) of their posts so I can see what they may have commented on. Any blog/pinterest/flickr links they share I will review extensively. Im not gonna get all creppy on it and try to hunt down info they have not shared. I just try to get as in-depth as I can with what I am given.
37. This is very broad, but if you could use 3 labels to describe your general style, what would they be? Bright, bohemian, thrift.
38. How do you guys feel about getting a gift with puns of an adult nature just for the fun of it? I don't want to offend anyone, but I found an awesome saying that goes with my partner's likes. Lets just not.
39. I am making your something that requires stuffing. Would you be able to stuff it and stitch it up or would you prefer I did it for you? I can stuff it if its easier on my partner or cheaper to ship.
40. If you were to receive something in a frame, any preferences about the frame? I would like it if it werent plastic. Or least not cheap plastic.
41. Do you like beachy things? like shells and stuff? Yes. And I am nowhere near the beach.
42. How do you feel about dinosaurs? Kinda cool, but not a favorite thing.
43. If I were to make you something that you'd specified you wanted, and did it to the best of my ability - but to do it I had to learn a new craft - so it's not as good as an expert could do it - would you like it - or would you prefer me not to bother? I think thats fine. After all, you have to start somewhere. Just please, please give it your best effort. I shied away from swaps for over a year because some of the things I got were so terriblevery disheartening. But I got the impression those were because of lack of effort, not a lack of skill.
44. How do you feel about clothes or other things made of patchwork (collection of different color fabrics)?  Is one solid piece of fabric better? I did ask for one clothing item in my big wish list. If I did get knit tees, I would rather have them be one all-over color or pattern. Then I could wear them to work.
45. When thinking of a reveal, do you want a scavenger hunt type thing?  Or is it cool if I just put little post its all over your parcel? Whatever you want to do. Smiley

1. Would you be okay with a set of smaller items in place of one large item?  Yes

2. Would it be okay to send a specific(expensive)crafting kit as a large item? Yes

3. What kind of music do you prefer? I like most music really. Green Day, Pink, Matchbox20, Plain White T's, Lily Allen, Hugh Laurie, Duffy, Adele, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Elvis, They Might Be Giants, Barenaked Ladies... I am very eclectic.

4. Are you a planner or a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants gal? I try to be a planner, but end up flying by the seat of my pants anyway.

5. Do you have any favorite quotes? Yes! I have bunches, most are from movies and I repeat them in conversations. On my pinterest I have a board called Points of Interest with a lot of quotes and ideas I like.

"I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

I love quotes by Dr. Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Douglass Adams, Penn Jillette, Friedrich Nietzsche, and other various people who have a deep personal relationship with reality.

6. If you could be world famous for one thing, what would you like it to be? My humanitarian acts, as small as they may be.

7. What are you currently reading? Major Pettigrews Last Stand.

8. What makes you laugh on TV? Big Bang Theory, Raising Hope, Doctor Who, Sherlock (BBC), 1600 Penn

9. What kind of games do you like and is there an image from a game you are particularly fond of? Video Games. I love Zelda, I love Mario Bros, I am not good at them, but I love playing them. I like playing the newer Lego themed games with my girls, right now we are playing Indiana Jones.

10. What are your preferred letters and font for monograms? I like fonts that look handwritten, I love script fonts and cutesy fonts. Our initials are DRP, LNP, KJP and MRP.

11. Are you an only child? No, I was the eldest daughter of a family of happenstance. I have two older half brothers I have never met, three younger half brothers who I grew up with and a younger half sister I never met and there isnt a single one I talk to anymore.

12. What is your favorite way to spend an afternoon? Curled up on a chilly day in front of the fire with my tea and a good book or a detailed embroidery.

13. Do you enjoy edible treats as extras? If so; sweet, salty, spicy? Yes. I enjoy sweets and salty treats. I am in no way a fan of spicy things. I think tomatoes are spicy, I am sensitive to sun as well yeah, I am weird.

14. Any piercings? Tattoos? Weird hairstyles? No tattoos, if I had one, it would be meaningful and most likely remind me of my daughters. I dont do needles.  I have two piercings in each ear in my lobes and a 16G cartilage piercing in my left ear. I know I said I dont do needles, but I made the mistake of letting someone near my left ear with one and I ended up with a cartilage piercing that I am too stubborn to take out. I am growing my hair out, so it does look weird, but its a shaggy pixie cut right now.

15. Are you a sports fan? If so, what? Also, what teams, individuals? Nope

16. What would you say your style is? Eclectic, slightly vintage, romantic girlie, geek I dont really have style, I have leanings and likes.

17. Are you cold all the time, or do you overheat? I live in a place where we get white Winters and humid flowery Summers. So I go back and forth.

18. Is it too late in the season to send outerwear? Nope, itll be in the 40s until April.

19. Are you a past thinker, present thinker, or future thinker and why? I am a worrier. So I think that puts me as a future thinker. I am constantly running scenarios in my head of how things can go, in order to prepare for the worst at all times. I am hardly in the moment unless I am with my children. I dont focus on the past like I used to as a younger person.  I just dont have time for that anymore. Wink

20. If you could travel/live anywhere, where would that be? I would travel to Europe. I love really old places (I live in a 110 y/o home), so I would love to see the older castles. I love where I live now, so I am content with the way my life as played out. I wouldn't mind a good spin in the TARDIS, but what girl wouldn't?  Wink

21. What did you want to be when you grew up? Could you see yourself doing that now? I wanted to be a mommy, and I am. I never thought I would have a job, I was raised in a culture where the mommys stayed at home. But I do work outside the home, and I love showing my daughters that mommy loves them enough to support the family. I am happy to break free of that gender stereotype, and there are definitely days where I wish I could be home all the time playing with my girls, baking cookies and cleaning, but I did that for a few years and I am now happy to let my husband experience his children by being a stay at home daddy.

22. What sorts of films do you enjoy? Any favorite movies? Would you enjoy crafts inspired by them? Sure! My favorite movies would be Love Actually, Australia, Fried Green Tomatoes and Disneys Three Musketeers. My husbands favorite movie is Casino, so you could say I've seen that a handful of times.  Wink I do like a good Tarantino flick every so often. I enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes movies with RDJr, I really wanted to see Le Miserable and The Hobbit in the theatres, but it looks like I will have to wait until they are out on BluRay.

23. Would you be disappointed or happy to receive a package comprised all or mostly of one type of craft? I am really, super easy going. I think I would be happy to receive anything made with love and effort and thought.

24. For jewelry, what is your preferred clasp? Lobster claw? Hook? Toggle? Something I didn't name? I lose things, so the most secure way possible is always best.

25. Which is more revealing/useful for your stalker in terms of getting your style and wants right, your questionnaire or your wist? Both my questionnaire and pinterest are good places. At least with pinterest you get a visual though.

26. What are your favorite non-edible things to receive if your partner chooses to send little non-crafted extras? Supplies! Cheesy

27. Do you like practical only items that have a function? Are you ok with a mix of practical and knickknack? Do you just love tons of crafted items to set out and make life pretty? I am more of a practical gal. But I do have a curio cabinet with curios. I do collect owls and my husband has an elephant collection. And we have my late mother in laws Disney water globes in there as well.

28. Would you be okay with 2-3 medium items instead of 1 possibly half decent large? Yes

29. I know we put favorite colors down but more specific, if you were to get an item for your _________, what colors would you prefer? Entry way is peach, stairwell is peach, living room is brown, blue and orange (I currently craft in the living room), girls room is pink , soon to change to a light purple, kitchen is strawberry themed, so reds, lime-ish green and turquoise, my bedroom is a dark grey and blues. The extra room which will one day become our playroom/craft room is currently blue.

30. What kind of soaps do you like? Do you like citrus, earthy, goat's milk, moisturizing? I use shower gel in a certain scent because I am weird, but my daughters love handmade soap, Id prefer soap that smells sweet and wont dry out their skin, they are still little.

31. Would you rather something made for you fit a bit big (but adjustable) or would you rather not have something crafted if there could be issue with sizing? I dont mind comfy clothes. I sew, so if something needs to be adjusted, its fine.

32. How do you feel about tie dye or batik? Not a fan.

33. Do you drink tea or coffee? Any fav. types/flavours? I LOVE tea, I love vanilla chai, I love French vanilla, I love orange, peppermint, peach, strawberry I do drink coffee, but not very often.

34. Scrappy or matchy matchy? I think I try to be matchy, but end up scrappy. I think there is beauty in chaos.

35. How do you feel about getting items from recycled stuff? As long as its clean, I am okay.

36. How do you go about swap research? Do you make lists, bookmark ideas, fill up notebooks, take mental notes, use post-its....or any other ways? How far will you look into your partner? Do you pour over blogs/threads etc? I am a visual person, so I like to go through past swaps and look at what my partner has received and what they have made. If a blog is posted, I may check it out, but I like to stick to pinterest and craftster for my research.

37. This is very broad, but if you could use 3 labels to describe your general style, what would they be? I have no style. I love comfy. I love modern twists on vintage style. I love hats.

38. How do you guys feel about getting a gift with puns of an adult nature just for the fun of it? Thats fine, I am not big on nudity or racist jokes or anything like that, but I enjoy a good pun.

39. I am making your something that requires stuffing. Would you be able to stuff it and stitch it up or would you prefer I did it for you? I can stuff. I can sew. If it saves you money to ship, then by golly send it empty! I have no problem with that.

40. If you were to receive something in a frame, any preferences about the frame? Nope. And I have tons of frames, so if you want to ship it without a frame to save money, cool beans.

41. Do you like beachy things? Like shells and stuff? I am from a far distant land called California. I grew up with shells and sand, but my daughters are not going to have that experience. So I would love for them to get something beachy. But as far as my style goes, I havent used shells in decorating in my home, as that is just not me.

42. How do you feel about dinosaurs? I think they freakin rock! We love dinosaurs. We LOVE the song, I am a Paleontologist, by They Might Be Giants and if you havent heard it, you need to. We love science, and archeology and paleontology are awesome fields. My daughters love lots of stuff, not just things stereotypically labeled as girl things.

43. If I were to make you something that you'd specified you wanted, and did it to the best of my ability - but to do it I had to learn a new craft - so it's not as good as an expert could do it - would you like it - or would you prefer me not to bother? I dont think the term expert every really goes with crafting. I think I kick butt at cross stitching, but I can still have to frog multiple stitches, and I am newer to patterns in crochet, but I have knocked items out of the park on my first attempt. I say try it! If it ends up a total disaster and you wouldnt be happy to receive it, try again, or move on life is too short to hesitate to try something new.

44. How do you feel about clothes or other things made of patchwork (collection of different color fabrics)?  Is one solid piece of fabric better? I think making something out of patchwork is a talent I may never possess. If you are good at it, or enjoy doing it, I wouldnt mind. Just please dont expect it of me, because quilting/patchwork is something I have yet to do well.

45. When thinking of a reveal, do you want a scavenger hunt type thing?  Or is it cool if I just put little post-its all over your parcel? Either way I am okay. This is my first detective swap and I am just happy to be here. Do what you want, have fun!

As long as you do your best, and put love and thought into what you make me, I will love it. I am a friend of craftster, so I have a little bio on my profile for more info. I also have two blogs, but they don't pertain to crafting really, so I don't think they will help much.  Embarrassed I love stationery, I love embroidering, I love tea, I love socks, I love comfy, I love hats, I love love and I love equal rights. I love peace, I love owls, I love other countries.

18. Is it too late in the season to send outerwear? No. I can usually wear a hoodie some days/nights until late May.
19. Are you a past thinker, present thinker, or future thinker and why? A present/future thinker. I am always planning/organizing trying to make the most of the current and future time. Although I am also a horrible procrastinator which is a weird mix.
20. If you could travel/live anywhere, where would that be? I would love to travel out of the country to multiple places: Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, but would most likely prefer to live somewhere in the US as that is where my family is.
21. What did you want to be whe n you grew up? Could you see yourself doing that now? I always wanted to be a writer. I still want to be a writer and am usually at work writing something but as of yet nothing that would be good enough for a career.
22. What sorts of films do you enjoy? Any favorite movies? Would you enjoy crafts inspired by them? I love movies, of all kinds. Some favorite genres are sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and comedy. Some of my favorite movies are: The Princess Bride, The Lost Boys, A Fish Called Wanda, Shaun of the Dead, The Last Unicorn, Goonies, The Importance of Being Earnest, Can't Hardly Wait, Moulin Rouge, Ginger Snaps, The Wizard of Oz, The Harry Potter movies (although I love the books much more!). I would love crafts inspired by them. Smiley
23. Would you be disappointed or happy to recieve a package comprised all or mostly of one type of craft? Happy.
24. For jewelry, what is your preferred clasp? Lobster claw? Hook? Toggle? Something I didn't name? I'm not picky, as long as it will stay on I'm good. Although I don't know which type of clasp it is but I have certain necklaces where the clasp ALWAYS gets caught in my hair and ends up ripping little pieces out and I would prefer a kind that doesn't do that. lol
