printing on every surface I can find

I work in a Tshirt printers 2 days a week and they get through an unbelievable amount of parcel tape on the screens they use. By the end of each week there are always at least 10 cardboard inners waiting to go in the recycling bin. I decided to start collecting them and find something useful to make. They're such a sturdy structure I'm sure I can find many different uses but to start off with I thought I'd make some bangles!

I started off by modPodging a layer of fabric over the cardboard so it wouldn't show through

I had collected a pile of lace bundles from the local fabric shop a while ago and thought this would be a good use for them.

So using my trusty hot glue gun I mixed it up a bit with each bangle either doing a straight wrap around over the fabric or continuously wrapping the lace around to cover the whole thing.

They were a little big for the wrist so I cut some felt to size and used the glue gun to attach it to the inside of the tube.

What do you reckon? Much better than its destination to the bin i hope Smiley

I have tons of these because I've used this tape to cover my broken window for 3 years. I have the replacement now, but no money to put it in. I thought what can I do with these and had the same idea, but they are fairly large.

Does the felt keep them from slipping off?

I like them. I have one I was gonna cover with yarn, never did it though. Another idea is cutting them ihalf so you have 2 thinner bracelets.

yeah the felt makes a huge difference. Makes you feel less like you're wearing a tape reel around your wrist haha!

Yarn wrapped ones would look super sweet. I was also thinking of cutting them down, or maybe trying some sort of wavy edge. Need to practise on a few first though  Cheesy
