LxM - You could also cut the antlers into slices and make buttons!!
very cool idea, though bone dust might be an issue.  I'd love a rack to display my jewelry on!  Smiley

I am currently trying to color in some staz-on printed images.  What do you papercrafters think of the water-based markers (can't afford the alcohol ones) or colored pencils to fill them in with?  What brands are good for them?  Does anyone have any experience with a water pen?  Do you just clean it between colors by squeezing out some water?

I made a ton of marble pendants so that's all ready to go.  I'm also thinking of making some metal stamped pendants.  If any of you have custom requests for them send me a PM!

I've used a waterbrush like this:
http://www.dickblick.com/products/niji-waterbrush/

Is that the kind you mean?  If so, I've just put water in it and used it for watercolors.  I keep a paper towel handy and then dab at it with a little squeeze to make sure its clean and ready for the next color.  You can see if its clear or still has pigment on the brush tip this way.   I've also seen people put colored inks (diluted?) in instead of water and paint with them that way for plein air and portability.  I haven't done that yet, but I am guessing it would need a good soaking in the sink afterwards to make sure it is clean again.  Or just keep one pen dedicated to the inks and one to water.

Thanks Avesthel!  Yes, that's exactly how I want to use them--with water-based pens.  Guess I'll take the plunge and see if I can't find one locally.  Smiley

I was hoping someone could recommend a good company for the pens.  I was thinking of buying the Marvy Uchida water-based pens since ACMoore has a 50% off coupon today.

Here's the amh pincushion caddy I stitched together yesterday.  I used a piece of hand quilting I got from our quilting group at church -- people bring us things we can't really use!  I am going to take this in for use during quilting!

I am going to make one today using vintage handkerchiefs!

way handy and cute A2K!

for sure if you are slicing up antler you want good breathing protection!  Totally bad to breath any of that crap in.  We used a bandsaw and it takes awhile plus smells like burning hair the whole time.  I buy antler buttons at the craft fair now Cheesy

So exciting to see what everyone is going to come up with!  Spread the word about signups!!

I haven't felt like crafting in a while. Maybe joining will give me a push to get crafting. Are they any knit or crochet items anyone in interested in? I'm trying to stick to easy (or medium) items until I can shake this.

I would love to swap for things kids could do in the car on a long car trip (3 girls ages 5-12). I can knit, crochet or trade yarn.
