My tenure is long but my participation brief,
I take craft in the night like a well honed thief.

The deed is now done and I can now share it
With now fifteen post I've earned my new merit!

Glad to have you aboard, for I spoke much too soon
I should never attempt swap mod stuff before noon.

Glad you made all your posts (and you did, I can tell!)
I hope you will soon post some projects as well. Smiley

Edward Gorey Fact:

In the last few years of his life, Edward Gorey made many "Figbash" dolls which he sewed himself using various fabrics and filling with rice. He tagged and signed them all. I remember the auctions on ebay when he was still making them, they went for a lot even then. I remember the auction that went "This will be the last round of Figbashes." I knew then I'd never get one.....not to mention when one went for over 100 grand.

So he would probably have loved the idea of us all on Craftster crafting away with his themes.

Edward Gorey Fact #2

Edward Gorey went by only one name, but many aliases. Most of his aliases are anagrams of Edward Gorey. Some of them were also plays on words, or translations of Edward Gorey into other languages:

D. Awdrey Gore
Ogdred Weary
Garrod Weady
Regera Dowdy
Dogear Wryde
Raddory Gewe
Eduard Blutig
Groeda Weyrd
Wardore Edgy

If you want to try making your own anagrams of his name, or anyone's, here is an anagram generator. Or you could just try doing it the old fashioned way yourself.

I love the anagrams!! It makes me want to come up with my own anagrams.

Shy Wet Bite, lol. I think I should keep working on it.

Edward Gorey Fact #3

He left most of his estate to dog, cat, bat and other animal protective societies. He himself usually had more than 15 cats at a time living with him. Some of them still live at his home, which is now a museum.

Guys, guys! I just sent in my questionnaire! I am sooo excited! I was trying to wait until I finished one of my ongoing swaps to keep the commitments down to a minimum, but I just got too excited!

Let me try this again. With ghastly flair.

Without any rhyming my posts they are weak,
I must take the time to think and then speak.

The rhyming is fun, but a challenge indeed,
Slightly addicting, I type with godspeed.

Oh Gorey oh Gorey oh Gorey my dear,
Can't wait to get crafting and of partners, to hear!
