I made this over the course of last week for my ex boyfriend prior to going to his house for game night [total blast].  It took about 40-50 hours.  It's long and short stitch.. Sorry for the white dust spots in the pictures stupid camera lens -.-

Anywho he's a hunter and total redneck.. I saw this decal of a buck but I had to alter the image from white to black but ended up resketching it in paintshop than altering the antler shaped..due to a very bad jab of the embroidery needle to my finger.. so to coverup the nice red blots of the white I had to go over and reshape the antlers..lol.

So the saying came around mostly because I was singing baby got back..than googling big bucks for images..and came across the line of "I like big bucks and i cannot lie"... so that's that... My sister and her aunt loved it thought it was worthy of selling [ya right!].  My ex loved it.. hung it up but didn't say anything until we were leaving and alone [my brother is his best friend so ya.. manly men lol] gave e a hug and kiss [oooOOooooo Wink]

It looks ALOT better in person.  It took about 3 1/2 dmc packages of 8 meter each black floss using 3 of the 6 strands each time.

Pain in the ass but worth it!

Hehe! Well done. I would have never guessed that you had not planned the antlers to be just as they are.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Looks great, and is very clever!  Cheesy Nicely done.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!
