I'm so glad you love the hoop, texscrapper! When I was looking for buttons I saw those and KNEW they belonged on that hoop! Enjoy! And those slippers that loudxmouse made you look super cozy.  Smiley This has been a wonderful swap with you ladies!

I received my sewing package from kbrison and it is amazing!  She crafted me Ctrl, Alt, Del pillow covers for pillows that came with my living room set, based off ones on the show Two and a Half Men.  My husband and I love the geeky pillow covers (even though she accidentally put Crtl instead of Ctrl...no biggie, really, it's all good with us!  It could very easily have been my error on the questionnaire!)  They fit great! Thank you so much Kathy! We love them!

They are so fun:

Generally the wait for a swap angel is two weeks after send outs, but unfortunately, Mrs. Awesome_Pants has seemed to be incomunicado with this swap from the get-go. Beside I sent my  hoop to her so early on in the swap, I hadn't suspected she was going to flake before I sent.  I'd been in contact with the help desk well before send-outs, and kbrison so thoughtfully offered to angel as my yarnie partner, and worked on that while working on her sewing project for me.

kbrison sent me a beautiful and warm infinity scarf as my angel package:

Here's an up-close of the stitching:

(Color is off on that one, sorry!)

And another view:

Thank you so much Kathy!

That infinity scarf is beautiful! I am super jealous of the skill it required, because all I can stitch is washcloths Sad

What stitches can you do? Most of the scarf is just double crochet, some done in the normal way through the top of a stitch in the previous row, some as front or back post double crochet. The only really challenging part was the crisscross section on every fourth row. That was done with front post treble crochets and involved skipping two stitches, then coming back and picking the skipped stitches up again. Looks and sounds harder than what it really was.

Oooo, the button hoop is pretty, I want a pair of those slippers (the cable around the top is very neat!), having been recently inducted into the Firefly world I now recognize and think that hoop is shiny ( Grin ) and the ctrl, alt, del pillows are very funny. I haven't seen a clunker package yet!

It is shiny! (dang, I wish I would've thought to say that first!)  Tongue

So are those slippers...will be pinning those.
I love the button hoop. Very pretty.
Fun pillows...I might have to make hubby something like that soon as he starts a new career in IT next week. (I'm thinking a shirt.) Wink

such great stuff everyone. Super fun swap!
