Changed my extra which means I can ship in a smaller box, and my husband gave me some $ today, so, I will try and ship on Fri.  We are supposed to have bad weather tomorrow and Thurs. I like this extra so much better!

Keeping my fingers crossed that 6th time's the charm: that's how many times I've re-started on the main part of the outfit.  But I think I just might finally have it figured out (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease).  It's a shaping issue that just wasn't turning out right, no matter what I did.  Then a couple of days ago I had a lightbulb moment, and so far this new way seems to be working -- phew!

gotgrey, how's your son doing?

He's doing much better, thank you for asking waterbaby.  His dad and I took him back to the doctor Wed.  The lacerations are coming together, and the stitches will dissolve soon.  He got a bit of bad news though.  He cannot kayak w/the kayak team this spring.  He is going to join, but, w/no finger nail to protect the laceration where the nail is supposed to be, he will only be helping out.  He won't be getting on the water.  He's pretty bummed out about it, and making sure we are too.  Sad  He's good at voicing his dissappointment.  But, he has also taken responsibility for his actions, and the consequences of those actions.

Eventually I think these injuries become a source of pride though!   My nine year old loves to talk about the whole process of his stitches to anyone who will listen!

Also I just realized this is the last weekend before send outs. Acck!   But at least I realized it and it should be snowing so a good excuse to stay home and craft.
